When Rachel DeMarte, party planner extraordinaire, asked me to design the "resort chic" themed menu and place cards, I was in Mexico taking a break from the bitterly cold Chicago weather. It was the perfect place for tropical theme inspiration. Of course I had my art supplies with me on the trip and sat at the beach painting pineapples while sipping a piña colada for extra inspiration ;)
The whimsy pineapple watercolors were paired with one of my favorite calligraphy-esque fonts for the menu wording. The leaf place cards were handwritten in gold ink and attached to gilded baby pineapples.
Rachel did such an amazing job using a variety of Tablescapes products in unique ways, including mini vessels filled with snacks. I just love the bold black and white stripe runner on the farmhouse table with touches of gold accents and palm leaves.
